Fri Vei AS is the controller: we decide how and why the personal data described here is used.
In short
- The website uses no cookies, no analytics tools and no advertising tools.
- The three-question demo runs on your device. Your answers are never sent anywhere.
- When you pick a country, your browser remembers the choice (“uk” or “us”) in its local storage, so the right version is highlighted next time. It never leaves your device.
What we process and why
When you open the website, your IP address and technical details about the request (such as browser, time and the page you ask for) are processed. This happens when Cloudflare delivers and protects the website. From your IP address, Cloudflare works out which country you are in. We use that country only to highlight the right version of the site and, for visitors in Norway or Sweden, to show a link to Kortklar. We do not store it.
The purpose is to deliver the website, suggest the right country version, and protect the site against misuse and attacks. Our legal reason (the lawful basis) is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR: we have a legitimate interest in a website that works, shows the right country and is secure.
If you email us
If you write to hello@drivequiz.app, we receive your email address and what you write. We use it only to answer you and to deal with what you asked about. The lawful basis is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR: we need it to reply. Our email provider handles the messages for us as our processor. We delete the correspondence when your question has been dealt with, unless we need to keep it to meet a legal obligation.
Storage on your device
The country choice is saved in your browser’s local storage only when you choose a country yourself, because you asked the site to remember it. You can delete it at any time by clearing the site data in your browser. Nothing else is stored on your device, and the website sets no cookies.
Who receives the data, and transfers outside the UK
Cloudflare, Inc. is our processor: it runs and protects the website. If you email us, our email provider also receives your message. Cloudflare may process data in the United States. According to Cloudflare’s data processing addendum, transfers from the UK rely on the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and on the UK’s International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers it does not cover. How long we keep it
Request data is processed only while the page is delivered to you and to protect the site against attacks. We have not turned on log storage at Cloudflare (Cloudflare’s logging tools are switched off), and we do not keep access logs ourselves. Cloudflare’s own security processing follows its retention terms; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct and erase your personal data, to restrict its use and to object to it. Email hello@drivequiz.app. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Children
The website collects no information from visitors beyond what is described above, whatever their age.

The website links to other sites, such as GOV.UK. They have their own privacy notices.
