The website has one 50-question mock plus 5 extra questions. Hazard perception is not covered. The app will have the full bank; Pro will add practice by topic. One purchase, no subscription. The store shows the price before purchase.

Every question, free or Pro, goes through the same checks: drafted with AI help from The Highway Code and GOV.UK guidance, checked against those sources, and not reviewed by a driving instructor. How we write and check them.

What Pro will add

For parents

Before you choose, read our checklist for choosing a theory test app.

You pay once, and nothing renews. There are no ads, no in-game currency and no countdown offers, and the live quiz will stay free for everyone you play with. Let your learner driver try the free mock test first; if they want their progress and mistakes kept, Pro will be there when the app is out. We never promise a pass: Pro is practice, and the theory test is set by the DVSA.

DriveQuiz does not include hazard perception practice. That part of the theory test needs video clips; our guide explains it.

Common questions

Is DriveQuiz Pro a subscription?

No. Pro will be a one-off payment of £9.99. Nothing renews. The App Store or Google Play shows the price before you buy.

Can we try DriveQuiz before paying?

Yes. Everything on this website is free now, including the one free 50-question mock theory test, and the live quiz with friends will be free when the app is out. Pro will keep your progress by topic and bring back the questions you got wrong until you get them right, with more mock tests and a daily practice set in the app.

How do refunds work?

You buy Pro from Apple or Google, so refunds go through them. On iPhone, request one at reportaproblem.apple.com, as Apple explains. On Android, see Google Play’s refund policies; Google says contacting the developer is often the quickest way, so you can also email us at hello@drivequiz.app.

Can the whole family use one purchase?

Check Apple’s Family Sharing and Google Play’s Family Library rules before buying for more than one person. Friends do not need Pro to join a live quiz. The live quiz will be free for everyone either way.

I bought Pro before. How do I get it back?

Pro goes on sale when the app is out. On a new phone, open the app and tap “Restore purchases” under Me, signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you bought it with.

Does Pro cover hazard perception?

No. DriveQuiz covers the multiple-choice part of the theory test. Hazard perception is a video test, and our hazard perception guide explains where to practise it.
