45 different questions: a 25-question all-states test and a 40-question Texas mock that shares 20 of them. The app will have the full bank; Pro will add practice by topic. One purchase, no subscription. The store shows the price before purchase.

Every question, free or Pro, goes through the same checks: drafted with AI help from the national sign manual, NHTSA and, for Texas, Texas law, checked against those sources, and not reviewed by a driving instructor. How we write and check them.

What Pro will add

For parents

Before you choose, read our checklist for choosing a permit test app.

You pay once, and nothing renews. There are no ads, no in-game currency and no countdown offers, and the live quiz will stay free for everyone you play with. Let your teen try the free practice tests first; if they want their progress and mistakes kept, Pro will be there when the app is out. We never promise a pass: Pro is practice, and your state sets its own test.

Texas has its own question pack. Other states get the all-states questions, which cover what every state shares; your state’s handbook covers its own laws.

Common questions

Is DriveQuiz Pro a subscription?

No. Pro will be a one-time payment of $9.99. Nothing renews. The App Store or Google Play shows the price before you buy.

Can we try DriveQuiz before paying?

Yes. Everything on this website is free now, including the 25-question all-states sample and the one free Texas full mock, and the live quiz with friends will be free when the app is out. Pro will keep your progress by topic and bring back the questions you got wrong until you get them right, with more mock tests and a daily practice set in the app.

How do refunds work?

You buy Pro from Apple or Google, so refunds go through them. On iPhone, request one at reportaproblem.apple.com, as Apple explains. On Android, see Google Play’s refund policies; Google says contacting the developer is often the quickest way, so you can also email us at hello@drivequiz.app.

Can the whole family use one purchase?

Check Apple’s Family Sharing and Google Play’s Family Library rules before buying for more than one person. Friends do not need Pro to join a live quiz. The live quiz will be free for everyone either way.

I bought Pro before. How do I get it back?

Pro goes on sale when the app is out. On a new phone, open the app and tap “Restore purchases” under Me, signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you bought it with.

Which states does Pro cover?

Texas has its own question pack. For every other state, the app will have the all-states questions: signs, signals, markings and the rules that hold everywhere. Your state’s handbook covers the rest; see the permit test by state.
