Shape and color give most signs away: an octagon is always STOP, a yellow diamond warns and a white rectangle states a rule. If you get stuck, read US road sign shapes and colors first. Many states test signs separately: Georgia, for example, has a 20-question road signs test, and in Virginia you must get all 10 sign questions right.
